Bulletin – For week of November 16,2008

Honoring the Persecuted Church
Throughout the centuries Christians have been persecuted the world over. From their lives being made difficult to their lives being taken by persecutors, Christians still suffer today in many places on the globe. Today we honor and remember those persecuted for their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, both past and present.

The Scriptures tell us to remember the prisoners as though we were in prison with them (Hebrews 13:3). We are not in prison for our faith, but this morning in our service we will do a few things differently than we normally do, in hopes that our hearts will be stirred in thankfulness to the Lord for our freedoms, in prayer for those who are suffering persecution, in action for the Gospel of Christ, and in passion for the Glory of God.

Harvest Home Friday – November 21
Dinner at 6:15 p.m. | Concert – 8:00 p.m.
Join us for our traditional Thanksgiving Harvest Home Banquet on Friday, November 21st at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are on sale today. $14.00 for adults; $8.00 for children 5-7; and children 4 and under are free. Following the dinner there will be a concert featuring The Orion Chamber String Orchestra, Leonard Holiday, Director. Our offering goal is $10,000 to supplement our budget.
