Evening Praise Service

Join us this evening for a great time of singing. Pastor Cosand’s message is entitled:

MONEY AND THE KINGDOM
from Luke 16:1-13

Mark Your Calendars: Join us next Sunday evening for a presentation by Jerry Benge. Jerry is the Associate Pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Church. He is currently on deputation to minister in Ukraine.

Sunday School

All are invited to a special Sunday School gathering on July 13 for “Questions and Answers.” Come at 9:00 a.m. for a free breakfast, followed by a joint adult class question and answer time. Submit your questions to Pastor Cosand or put it in the offering plate TODAY. Sign up on the sheet in the hall TODAY, if you will be attending.

Quotes of the Week

To place ourselves in range of God’s choicest gifts, we have to walk with God, work with God, lean on God, cling to God, come to have the sense and feel of God, refer all things to God. - Cornelius Plantinga

Take away union and there can be no communion. - John Flavel

Vacation Bible School

Thank you to all of you who contributed food, craft items, or money, delivered flyers, helped with set up or clean up, worked during the week and most of all, all of you who prayed for VBS. The Lord blessed us with a wonderful week. Pray that the seed that was planted in the hearts of over 90 children by 40 workers will take root and grow. We could not have done it without the Lord’s help and yours. God bless you all.

VBS Follow Up

As a further ministry in our community, we will be doing a follow up visit to the homes of the children who attended VBS. Your help will be most appreciated. We will meet at the church at 10:30 a.m. this Saturday, July 12. Names, addresses, and locations will be provided and we will go in pairs. If you can help, please come.

Missionary Update

Winnie Shelito

I did it! Yes I did! My insurance and gas prices are going up and I’m driving less than 100 miles a month, so I have decided to give up my car. I’m at peace about it, and thankful for the fifty plus years I could drive. Getting used to being dependant on others for getting places, is made easier by good friends like Jacqueline who is there for me and Mary, who lives where I do. She takes me to church now.

Things with Ethel are changing some, but she does seem to have settled into her new home. Friends have driven me the some twenty miles to where she lives so I have been able to see her every week.

The Lord answered another prayer request. A couple of months ago I received word that my doctor was giving up her practice and I would need to find a new one. Well it took a while to find a new doctor because not every one accepts Medicare patients. The Lord was gracious and found me one for which I am thankful.

Have a great summer. Lord bless you all. Thanks for your continued support.
