A FUN TEST FOR LEARNING BIBLE DOCTRINE

  1. What is my chief purpose in life? (To glorify God in Christ and to enjoy Him forever. 1 Cor. 10:31, Ps. 73:25, Job 22:21)
  2. In John 4:24, what is Jesus telling us about God and how to worship? (“God is a Spirit: and they … must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”)
  3. What is the meaning of the word “doctrine”? (Teaching)
  4. Name 4 ways God has revealed Himself. God is speaking to us in:
    1. Nature, Creation – Ps. 19:1
    2. Conscience – Rom. 2:14-16
    3. Christ, who is Truth Incarnate – Jn. 14:6-9
    4. Scripture – 2 Tim. 3:15-17
  5. Who moved Holy men to write God’s Word? (The Holy Spirit – 2 Pet. 1:21)
  6. In 2 Tim. 3:16, what does “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God” mean? (All Scripture is God breathed out.)

  11. Give another name for the Godhead. (The Trinity – Mt. 3:16-17, Col. 2:9.)
  12. Name 10 attributes of God. (Love, grace, mercy, wisdom, truth, wrath, holiness, sovereignty, infinite, justice, patience, all power, knowledge.)
  13. How do I know that God will keep His promises and not change His mind? (God is unchangeable, true and faithful. Mal. 3:6, Jn. 14:6, Lam. 3:23)
  14. Which attribute of God teaches that He is Controller, Planner and Director of all events and details of life? (Providence of God, Rom. 8:28.)
  15. Who is my standard for conduct and decision making? (Christ, Col. 3:10.)

  24. Where do infants go at death? (Christ paid our original sin, so all who die before the age of accountability go to heaven – Jn. 1:29, 2 Sam. 12:23.)
  25. How much of man and how much of God is Christ? (All God and all Man)
  26. What did Adam impute to me? (Sin) When I believe, what does Christ take from me, put on Himself, and give to me? (He takes my sin and gives me His righteousness. Rom. 5:12-19, 4:1-8)
  27. What is the free, unmerited favor of God to sinners called? (Grace)
  28. How can God, without violating His justice, declare a sinner righteous? (When I believed, my sins were put on Christ and His righteousness was given to me. Justice is satisfied. Rom. 3:23-26).
  29. What keeps me from boasting and pride in having such great salvation? (I did nothing to save myself or keep myself saved. It is all of God.)
  30. If I sin after I am saved, will I then be lost? (No, we sin often. If you truly believe in Christ, you can never be lost. Jn. 10:27-30)
  31. Did I choose Christ or did He choose me? (I was elected to salvation before the world began, and the Holy Spirit gives me power to believe. Jn. 6:44, 1:12, Phil. 2:13, Jn. 6:65, Jer. 31:3, Acts 16:14, Eph. 1:4-11)
  32. Which two doctrines separate true believers from false religions? (Do they believe in salvation by faith in Christ, and that Christ is all God and all Man? Do they believe in His resurrection and return?)
  33. Who is the only One that stands between God and man? (Christ – 1 Tim. 2:5)
  34. Where do believers to at death? (“Today... with Me in Paradise” – Lk. 23:43)
